  1. Thanks so much for the encouraging post! I know I felt that way about my online store I wanted as many sales as everyone else but not realizing that this takes time. Patience is truly necessary when trying to do anything. I remember when I was a first year high school teacher wanting to have the skills of a veteran 10 year teacher not realizing that it takes time to get there.

    1. I totally get it! Anytime I do something new I want to hit the fast-forward button and just get to the goal line!!

  2. This felt so God sent! I struggle with being patient and seeing things through when results don’t come easily. When you said, “And your journey is going to progress at a pace unique to you as well.”, I was like yes, Amen! God has called me to write for years and I ignored his call until a couple months ago. I need to remember that he called me to do this, it’s his, not mine. I just need to be faithful and he will use it how he wants, in his own time. Thank you for these encouraging words! And for your link up. You’re such a blessing.

    1. Thank you so much Julie and I’m so glad it encouraged you! And you’re right! He may be using those frustrating times so that you can offer that experience to others through your writing!
He is using you to bless so many people!!

  3. Thanks for the encouragement!! I already signed up with a couple of the free courses! With our VERY limited income as I only am physically able to work part-time and hubby can’t work from a developed disability, I can’t financially afford to really spend much and you gave me hope that just because I don’t have the money like some doesn’t mean I can’t still further the progress!!

    1. I’m so glad that you signed up!!! They are awesome courses and she gives tons on info in the free ones! Let me know how you liked them when you’re done!!

  4. Thank you for your information. I am new to this writing thing and it is very overwhelming trying to learn how to get my blog out there and how to connect with other bloggers. I have no idea how to navigate on the internet and get very fustrated that I know what I want to do but can not figure out to do it. I can not even figure out how to link my blog smh. I have a heard time understanding the terms that are used to tell you how to do it and then after reading several articles on how to’s I only confuse myself even more. I have a message of grace and faith that I want to convey to people so that they can have hope in the mist of troubles and can survive the daily mishaps of life because of Jesus but if I can not figure this blog traffic stuff then how will anyone ever hear about it. I can not afford to pay for any kind of help so I am relying on the all the good free resources available but I get so confused (partially because of brain injuries from a auto accident that God saved my life from). Any way that you know of some really easy to understand resources to help me along? I couldn’t even figure out how to add my website link up here where you said that you provide up to 2 links to your own site.

    1. Yes! There are some great free resources! If you go to my resources page or go to some of my other blogging posts (there should be some linked on this page) you will find them there! Let me know if you have trouble find them and I’ll try to help! Like you I also have a brain injury (stroke a couple of weeks ago) so I can relate to what you mean and I’d be happy to help you find them!

      1. thank you and I hope that you have a full recovery from your stroke. I know that they can affect the brain in the same way that I have trouble with now. best luck to you!!

  5. Comparison always feels hard. And in this blogging world it is always right in front of us. But God is so good to work on those things in us and remind us that He is a God of love and grace, not comparison.

  6. This was just what I needed to read. I’m a new blogger that came across this post on Pinterest. Was wondering if all the work is worth it. Thank you for the encouragement! God bless!

  7. Thanks for such an encouraging post! I’m a guy who started a new blog in February, and this is exactly how I’ve been feeling. But I’m determined to stick with it because I know it was God who put this blog on my heart.

    1. Yes please do stick with it. There will be times you feel like giving up. I go through those even today. But if you truly feel it’s what you should be doing, then ride out the tough times and the discouraging times and it will be worth it.
