  1. This is such an important post; you have made so many good points. I can definitely relate to waiting on God but fearing He won’t work things out the way “I” want Him to. I had to face facts about that and choose to trust His will in every situation. Not always easy, but that’s where bringing my heart and mind under subjection comes in. Thank you for sharing this! God bless you 🙂

  2. I love this post Diane. So many times we think that waiting is different from what it truly is. It is truly not a time of inactivity, but a season of prayer and preparation. Beautiful post sweet sister! ❤

  3. I will miss you! I need to ponder taking a bit of time off too. This was a great post on waiting. You explained it so well. Thank you. Pinned it.

    1. Thank you so much!!! I’m probably going to schedule a couple of posts throughout July but not a link up!

  4. I love how you say that the way to know if you are following Him is to study His word. Sometimes I pray and pray and feel like I don’t hear anything. Then I remember to dive into His Word and I have answers in minutes!

  5. I think this part of the definition hit closest to home ” It describes eager anticipation”. I don’t often eagerly anticipate what I am waiting on from God. The answers seem too big or the situation so outrageous that I wait in fear… thanks for the encouragement to wait with faith.

  6. I love this, so many good thoughts. I just did a long blog post about waiting on God too, must be the season for it and you’ve covered so many aspects I just haven’t thought of. Sharing for sure.

  7. I needed this encouragement today, and I especially appreciated this paragraph: You see, many times when we are waiting for God to act, we fear because we worry He won’t do things the way WE want! If we trust and put our faith in the fact that if God acts according to His will it is always best, we won’t fear the outcome. You hit the nail on the head as they say with this post.

  8. Dear sister what a blessing this has been to me. It has answered so many things. I love the way that waiting is not passive but active and in Faith not fear.
Nobody likes waiting at the best of times ,but you don’t mind so much if you have something to do while you wait. And this anticipation of Gods timing and events!
Bless you. I see we share the same surname. ❤️

    1. I am so happy it blessed you!!And yes, having anticipation not only helps in the waiting but it does a world of good to keep anxiety away during that time!! And yes, I wonder how we are related LOL Bless you!!
