Jesus Our Bridegroom

Throughout scripture, Jesus is illustrated for us as a Bridegroom coming for His bride. This is no accident or coincidence.

The ancient Jewish wedding is a beautiful and poignant picture for us of, not only Jesus’ love for us but His plan to return for us.

You’re Betrothed

You will learn about the betrothal process and what that truly entailed.

You will learn in the audio that a marriage was in fact legally binding upon betrothal and the couple entered into a covenant relationship with each other at that time.

Jesus our Bridegroom has entered into a betrothal stage with His bride!

Prepare a Place for You

He goes to prepare a place for us! Find out how this statement Jesus made is full of so much meaning to those He spoke it to.

You will realize why this one statement was so meaningful to His followers, who were Jewish men.

Jesus our Bridegroom is in Heaven right this moment preparing a place for His bride. The timeline of this preparation and the time spent with Him at His return is covered in this audio message.

Our Covenant With God

You will learn about the Ketubah or marriage contract and how God the Father and Jesus our Bridegroom have covenanted with us in much the same way it was done in the ancient marriage.

Gifts of the Spirit

You will learn the significance of the Gifts of the Spirit and how Jesus our Bridegroom gives us His gifts as part of His marriage contract with us.

The Marriage Supper of the Lamb

When Jesus our Bridegroom returns for His bride and brings her to Himself, there will be great celebrations in Heaven, not unlike the marriage supper that occurs with the ancient Jewish wedding.

However, before that celebration takes place, the bridegroom and his bride are sequestered away for a time to become acquainted with each other and formally consummate their union.

You will learn more about this time!

I pray this blesses you and if you would like to see a more in depth message on the topic, please comment below!

Let the oil in our lamps always be full no matter the time of day. We may enter when the time is prepared.

I love how you compared the Bible to a marriage contract – this is so right! We need to be constantly walking with the Lord and fulfilling our part of the contract.

This is fantastic!! Most believers don’t realize how much of the Christian faith is based in Judaism. If we can learn more about Jewish and Middle Eastern culture, we will learn more about the heart of God and what He meant in His word to us. Thank you for sharing your knowledge in such an easy-to-understand way. God bless you!
