Greek Word Study Tool

She's not extra... she's exegetical

The Exegetical Edit™

Greek Edition

Type any Greek or English word, phrase, or single verse below. We'll trace it through Koine Greek — the word formation, grammar, verbal aspect, and the Hebrew roots beneath the surface. The tool may take a minute or two to load.

About The Exegetical Edit™ Greek Word Study Tool

This tool is AI-assisted. The studies are generated by Claude (Anthropic’s AI) using a framework plugin I built — one that reflects everything I care about in Greek biblical study: the Hebrew roots beneath the Greek, the covenantal weight the Septuagint carries forward, verbal aspect and what it reveals that English tense cannot show, and what gets lost when translators flatten Koine into modern English. Every section, every prompt, every theological guardrail in this tool came from me.

Think of it the way you’d think of any study resource — a commentary, a lexicon, a Bible dictionary. It’s a starting place, not a stopping place. The richest study still happens when you take what you find here back to the Greek text itself, with a good lexicon beside you — and when you trace the Greek back to the Hebrew it grew from. That’s where the depth lives.

Always verify. Always dig deeper. That’s the whole point.
