Type any word, phrase, or single verse below. We'll go beneath the translation — to the Hebrew letters, the root, and the picture the original audience would have seen. The tool may take a minute or two to load.

Always verify what is in the Hebrew Word Study tool against the original Hebrew text and a trusted lexicon (BDB, HALOT, or Strong’s). This tool is intended as a study aid, not a substitute for primary-source research.

About The Exegetical Edit™

This tool is AI-assisted. The studies are generated by Claude (Anthropic’s AI) using a framework I built… one that reflects everything I care about in biblical study: the Jewishness of Yeshua, the pictographic roots of Hebrew letters, covenantal context, and what English translations tend to flatten. Every section, every prompt, every theological guardrail in this tool came from me.

Think of it the way you’d think of any study resource such as a commentary, a lexicon, a Bible dictionary. It’s a starting place, not a stopping place. The richest study still happens when you take what you find here back to the Hebrew text itself, with a good lexicon beside you.

Always verify. Always dig deeper. That’s the whole point.
