  1. Thank you so much for your very kind and useful tips for beginning bloggers. I am a fairly new blogger, and I still feel like I need a lot of guidance and support. One of the big surprises when I first began blogging was the generous and friendly blogging community. I pictured blogging as a lonely endeavor. I have “met” so many amazing writers through blogging. It is actually the best part of having a blog. So, yes, new bloggers, comment, follow, link up, get involved in your community!

    1. Well said Laurie! I think new bloggers sometimes feel intimidated and afraid to jump in so thank you for that encouragement!!

  2. What an awesome post!! It’s so important not to compare ourselves to others. I love connecting with other Christian bloggers. I don’t talk about my faith much over on my blog, but it is a huge part of my life!

    1. I’m so glad that you are connecting with other Bloggers. Regardless of your niche it’s so important!! Blogging can be very isolated at times so that connection is so vital!

  3. Let go that comparison trip! I love this post Diane. We all have a different blogging journey. Honor that.

  4. Yes! Christian online community for the Christian Blogger is so important! And it is a long journey, but for the people who truly have a passion for blogging, I believe it will be worth it.

  5. This is all so true! I keep in mind that God called me, therefore He qualified me to do what only I can do. Early on I got caught up in trying to appeal to everyone, but that’s insanity! Lol

    1. I think most of us get caught up in that early on! You are doing such awesome things! God is using you in amazing ways!

  6. Your post hits a lot of truths that (like most truths) don’t always feel true. Which is why it’s important to keep reminding one another that they’re true! Thanks 🙂

    1. So true! It is one of the reasons FB groups for bloggers are so helpful! Without that encouragement, it is easy to want to give up!

  7. A lot of wisdom in this post!! So important to just stay focused on what God is calling you to do and quit comparing! Thanks for the linkup opportunity too!

  8. Wow I wish I could truly find the words to thank you for this blog post. I just posted yesterday on my Instagram not only about how we are more beautiful than rubies but how I was feeling down. Although I didn’t share WHAT I was feeling down it was because of everything you stated in this post. I am very new at this blogging thing and although I am loving it, it’s easy to get discouraged when you see how gradual your growth is when you also see how much has grown for others. But you put into perspective what I needed to be reminded of. All of those other bloggers also have been there before and their hard work has paid off just like ours will too. Thank you thank you thank you for this. ?

    1. I am so glad it encouraged you!!! Your hard work WILL pay off!!! Just stick it out through the tough and discouraging times!!
