How do you, as a faith blogger, get your message out to the people who need it the most? How do you reach people with the Gospel if no one knows your post is there? Christian blogs are not much different than any other blog when it comes to needing to get your site in front of people! There are still things a faith blogger needs to think of in order to reach their audience!
So how do you build that audience and drive traffic to your site so you can reach your goal of bringing more of Jesus online?
Boost Blog Traffic – Christian Blogs Still Need Marketing
When you have these Christian blogs for women and have a writing ministry, you spend a great amount of time studying the Word, praying, researching and writing your posts! You want to help encourage others and share your personal experiences with them so that they know they are not alone in the struggles of life.
You write these beautifully crafted posts and then you realize, it is just not getting in front of people.
I am going to share with you practical ways you can boost blog traffic TODAY and get your Christian blog and your message in front of the people who are looking for it and need it!
I am going to share with you ways you can boost your blog traffic TODAY and get your Christian blog and your message in front of the people who are looking for it! Click To TweetI see this more times than you would expect. In fact it just happened today! I wanted to share a post and there was not a share button in sight!
Many Christian blogs have no way for others to share their content. To boost blog traffic and reach new audiences, apart from organic searches, people have to share it!
If you do not provide share buttons on your post, you are robbing yourself of a lot of traffic.
Grow by Mediavine is a great (and free) way to get these sharing buttons on your site and you do NOT have to be a Mediavine publisher to use it. It used to be known as Social Pug so you may be familiar with it!
And just so you know, you don’t even have to have accounts with the social media sites to use them!
In fact, that is a big mistake people make; they only use share buttons for the platforms that they have accounts for. It is not about YOUR account, it is what accounts your reader might have!
Click to Tweet or other versions of tweet sharing plugins are a great way to get your blog out on Twitter. You just find a great line from your post that you think would make an awesome tweet and click on the Better Click to Tweet icon (or whichever you use) and add it! It’s that simple!
I always look for click to tweet buttons first when I visit a site I enjoy! I often don’t find them!
People will generally not go out of their way trying to find a way to share your post so make it easy for them to do it! Your traffic will go up!

Many people do not understand Pinterest so they do not use it effectively.
Pinterest is not a social media platform. It is a visual search engine. It is where people go when they are looking for something in particular.
If you have ever used Pinterest to look for home decor or a new hairstyle, you will understand this!
It is similar to Google except instead of links to a page that has content you are looking for, Pinterest provides images and a way to save those images to look at later AND to share with others!
In fact sharing is the cornerstone of Pinterest! People love to repin content they find that they believe would benefit others.
When you are blogging for Jesus you have the opportunity to reach a VERY large audience! Let’s face it, people go through a LOT in their day to day life and they are searching for ways to draw closer to God and to increase their faith!

When I was a new blogger, Pinterest was my number one source of traffic. It still is a good source for me, although SEO has far surpassed it!
But it takes time for your site to grow and for Google to get your site ranked where it will generate good traffic. So Pinterest can be so helpful during that first 6-12 months!
One way to maximize your use of Pinterest is to use Tailwind!
Tailwind has amazing scheduling tools, including Tribes, that will help you connect with others in your niche so you can share each other’s content! It has been a HUGE help in boosting my traffic and you can try it out before spending a penny!
AND…Tailwind just came out with Tailwind Create! Pinterest wants fresh content and it can be so time consuming to always create new pins, especially as your site grows.
With Tailwind Create, you can now create, schedule, publish, and analyze your Pins all in one place! This is a HUGE help!
You can generate, personalize, and fine tune Pins to drive traffic to your new and existing content. They are editable to make it what you want it to be just by clicking the little edit pencil! But you may not need to! You can literally choose from hundreds of variations and personalize your favorites in just a few seconds!
The best part? You can add your brand preferences (but you can always switch it up with different styles and fonts) and it will use them in your pins!
It all happens in Tailwind so you never have to download, upload, or organize your files. You can just schedule it out right from there!
This is only available to Tailwind members!
Use my affiliate link to get your free Tailwind trial (full use) and then use the resources they do offer for free. Or click the button below!

I have another post about Pinterest that you can check out for more info.
As I learned how to promote my site on Pinterest, it greatly increased the number of users that visit my blog.
As Christian blogs for women, we have a message and a story people want to hear! They just need to know you are out there!
Boost Blog Traffic With SEO
One of the ways (THE most important way) you can increase traffic to your site is to make sure you post is formatted for SEO!
This is a tough one for those of us blogging to get more Jesus online because we tend to write what God puts on our heart and not specifically for SEO! We find it difficult to reach that happy medium between creativity and actually getting it in front of people!
Most people tend to think they can select a keyword and that’s all that is needed! But there is much more that goes into SEO than just keywords.

Christian Blogs For Women – Blogging for One!
We who are in the faith blogging world often say we write for an audience of one! That is very true!
However, we ARE in ministry! The more people we can help, encourage, uplift, and reach with Jesus online the better!
It should not be a comparison game between us and other bloggers but there is nothing wrong with wanting to help as many people as you can reach! There is no shame in wanting your message and your story to get in front of as many people as it can! We are doing it for the Kingdom, not for ourselves!
So maximizing your traffic is a great way to reach the world (and here on the internet, we DO have a global reach) with the Gospel!
However, we ARE in ministry! The more people we can help, encourage, uplift, and reach for Christ the better! Click To Tweet
Great tips! I resisted Pinterest for the longest time, but the first week I used it to drive traffic to my blog, it doubled my traffic! And I’m no expert either.
