  1. Whew! This definitely hit home this evening. My mind is a mess at times, and I know that much of it is seeds that the enemy is planting. I have recently taken a proactive stance to start really just putting more and more of God’s word inside so that the enemy has no room. And when that is not enough, I pray God continues to reveal the unsealed spaces.

  2. So true that the mind is the battlefield and identifying those gaps is crucial because Satan is sneaky and will creep in any way he thinks he can. Thankfully, as you said, we can put on the whole armor of God and stand against the schemes of that old liar! Great post!

  3. We underestimate how sneaky and crafty the devil is. How we need to stand watch, ads the Scripture says, and guard our minds against His subtle attacks.

    1. Amen! He deals in those little things because he knows the big things, the big sins, the big falls, start with a small gap. Like an infestation can start with a tiny opening, he can infest us with those small things! Thank you so much Barbara!

  4. You truly have a gift of writing, my friend. I’ll be praying for God to reveal the gaps in my life. Satan will look for any opportunity he has and my God is my refuge and strength. Loved this post.

  5. Excellent! Yes our minds and hearts need to be guarded and submitted to Jesus. Truly there is no greater battleground. Yes, there are gaps within us. Always. The armor of God is our protection and we must be deliberate and aggressive about making sure we always have it on. In my own battle with addiction this battle took on a whole new level. It has been a long, hard journey but now I am free and can finally rest in Jesus, but always on guard. 🙂

    Thank you for this post.

  7. Diane,
Most spiritual battles begin with one thought that we allow to get a foothold on our thoughts. We do need to be battle-ready with a watchman on the wall and being suited up with the armor of God. Enjoyed your story/illustration! You really bring scripture to life!
    Blessings,
    Bev xx

  8. Thank you for the reminder I need to put on the full armor of God. It is so important to guard our minds. And so easy to ignore it.
