  1. Our family has volunteered at a camp for many years, and once their ending banquet (following a week of lessons on Esther) was a Feast of Purim. I’m sure that week of teaching from such a deeply meaningful book of the Bible stayed with the kids for a long time!

    1. What a great way to finish camp!! Purim is such a fun holiday for kids and it will help them always remember the Book of Esther!!

  2. “For such a time as this” is the phrase that God used to make it clear to me that He wanted me to start blogging. I have always loved the Story of Esther and now you have given me added history for the next time I read it!! Very interesting!!

  3. Diane this was perfect timing! I am just working on a series of messages about Esther for a retreat I’m speaking at. Your post inspired some great points out of the life of Esther. She’s intrigued me for years. I just love Hebrew History and culture. I’m so glad God connected me to you and your blog. Looking forward to getting to know you, if even just online 🙂

  4. I have always loved the story of Esther, but was not aware of the traditions surrounding the Feast of Purim. Thank you for sharing. I learned something new today!

  5. Thanks for teaching me about Purim. I’ve been curious about the feasts and festivals of the Bible. I also liked how you said God has us positioned. Like right now… not ust sometime in the future.

  6. The story of Esther is one of my absolute favorites! So much adventure and courage and, of course as you pointed out, God’s faithfulness! I am learning a lot from your posts about the different feasts and festivals. Thank you!
