  1. Great post. I’ve never sold anything via my blog, but it’s something I’ve thought about for sure. I hadn’t heard of Gumroad before for selling e-books, so thanks for the tip!

  2. Thoughts of selling a download have been mulling around in my mind. Honestly? I’ve been a little scared to take the leap. Your insight, definitely Carmen, helps. Knowledge is power, right? Diane, thanks for sharing your space. May Christ be exalted.

    1. Kristi, I hope you take that leap and do it. The scariest part is convincing ourselves to do it. It is actually so easy to create the product as soon as you know what you want to create. Praying you get that unction! =)

  3. I love the heart behind your desire to help other Christian bloggers. Thanks for the wisdom shared in this post.

  4. Thanks for posting this. This is one I definitely need to bookmark and read over several times. I find it quite challenging creating products for blogs in general, even just for opt-ins. I’ve noticed sometimes I’ve spent a while creating one and then it won’t perform all that well, whereas other times ones I’ve not given that much thought to seem to gain far more attention and demand.

I have a product I’m still waiting to launch but am not entirely sure how to market it to get maximum exposure beyond just blog readers. There is partly a fear of failure, especially since I put so much time into it (it wasn’t intended as an opt-in originally but as a product in itself before I even conceived of creating a blog). It seems that the products you spend less time on (and where you’re not as heavily invested in) can sometimes be easier to launch because you’re not afraid of whether it will flop, so you don’t feel you have anything to lose by putting it out there.

Thanks also for the suggestions. I’ll have to look into Gumroad as opposed to Amazon.

  5. Thank you for you post Carmen. I love your insight. In fact, I just recently brought your ebook and I’m going through it right now. It has been very insightful and has opened my eyes to a lot of things that I haven’t even thought about.

  6. Diane, Thank you so much for hosting the link up and allowing me to share my guest post with your readers. I love working with you in the Kingdom!

  7. I am really looking forward to getting my products out there right now. I am creating a book (print). Very excited.
