  1. When my mother-in-law was in a nursing home for a few months, we saw other, younger people there for rehab as well. The place was truly depressing on a number of fronts. What a blessing to look on it as an avenue of much-needed ministry.

    1. Thank you!! I agree..it can be quite sad but praise God that He let me see the joy in it as well!

  2. It’s so true that even when we are in circumstances we would not have chosen, God can make them count for his glory. Thank you for your focused obedience.

  3. Powerful message, Diane. I’m so sorry for all you have walked through and continue to deal with. But so thankful the Lord is using you and your story to speak hope and life into others. Praying for you and your roommate for God to continue to show Himself mighty and faithful to you both.

  5. Diane – Thank you for allowing God to use you. What a blessing we all can be wherever we go, but we must be willing. You were. I am glad they have some answers to your health concerns. Are you home now? Praying. Maree

  7. Diane, I’m so sorry to hear that you are continuing to face these medical issues. But I’m also rejoicing with you that God had you just where He could use you in someone else’s life. My husband somehow got MRSA the first part of this year and was in the hospitalized for 11 days. We, too, saw God use his time there. We may never know the fruit that grows from some of those seemingly chance encounters. Praying for you, sweet sister!

    1. Thank you so much Donna and I’m so sorry to hear your husband was ill but praise God that his time in the hospital was used for good!!!

  8. What a great reminder – Taking our eyes off of how we are being inconvenienced or burdened etc. and putting our eyes on Jesus and how He wants to use us is so important, and blessings flow from having that perspective! Thanks for this post!

  9. Diane, I had read this post before on Facebook, but I loved reading it again. It is such a beautiful story. I agree 100 percent, the mission field is wherever our feet land. That is what I teach my children and I try to live my life by. I know you made a difference in that sweet lady’s life. I am praying for a full and quick recovery for you.
